Who is Common Scents?

Well, first let me tell you a little bit about the history Common Scents.

Common Scents first opened in Port Jefferson in the early 70's as a card/gift and bath & body shop carrying such names as Caswell-Massey and Crabtree & Evelyn. During this time, the concept of "custom scenting" was just being introduced to the market and Common Scents was one of the first companies to bring the product and idea to New York. That's how such scents as China Rain(tm), Egyptian Musk, China Musk and Rain became so popular. To this day, these products are still VERY popular; and, it's no wonder that after 32 years, we're still pouring them.

Although Common Scents has been through several changes over the past few years (we are now officially known as Common Scents & Gifts, Inc), we've never stopped selling superior essential and perfume oils as well as unique products and gifts. As the new year begins, we're going greener, simplyfying, and concentrating more on Handmade Goods and Products rather than on boutique bath & body products.

None of the products that we represent have been tested on animals; and Mother Nature is always one of our top priorities.
